They were chosen at random from a huge sea of chickens. So although they were treated well, they likely experienced little one-on-one human contact. We even have two Araucanas (who aren't supposed to be too cuddly) and one of them loves being held. [endtext]

Only a swab of the eyes from a vet would know for sure if it is pox. I've never had that with my domestic birds but have read that saline (like for contact lenses) can be gently swapped on the eyes, or colloidal silver solution. I would not use lemons, that is acidic and would burn. It could also be something called canker. Vitamin A and antibiotics from the vet would help as well.
I'd call him Bocelli, since roosters like to sing, and well... you know..

If they were fighting the rabbit would be hitting harder, and the kitten would not playfully expose its belly to an enemy. They are just having fun.
